You may be discouraged because you are struggling to conceive. Paying for fertility treatments can be pricey and trying to take a loan out just for fertility treatments can be hard as well with the high interest rates that are involved. The Hebrew Free Loan is a great alternative solution if you are struggling to become pregnant with offering loans through their fertility loan program.

This article covers:

  • What is The Hebrew Free Loan?
  • How has The Hebrew Free Loan helped everyday people?
  • How expensive are fertility treatments?

What is The Hebrew Free Loan?

First founded in 1892, The Hebrew Free Loan Society started off with about ten Jewish immigrant leaders that wanted to create an interest-free loan fund for people struggling to get a loan, and make them easy to pay off. Since the start of this tradition, they continue to make interest-free loans for people for a variety of reasons that do not qualify for commercial credit. The applicant for The Hebrew Free Loan must be Jewish, or have a spouse that is Jewish in order to receive a loan.

The Hebrew Free Loan Society offers loans for a variety of different needs for individuals. Some of these loans include fertility treatment, undergraduate and graduate students loans, healthcare, housing, loans for starting a small business, and many others. They remain true to their mission statement by providing loans for people no matter what the reason may be, with no interest rate whatsoever.

How Has The Hebrew Free Loan Helped Everyday People?

The Hebrew Free Loan has helped lots of people over the 128 years they have been providing interest-free loans. For two years, Michael Tarle and April Oldenburg were having trouble conceiving and were paying lots of money to undergo expensive fertility treatments. With trying nine rounds of artificial insemination and two rounds of in vitro fertilization, they thought that they wouldn’t have any chance of conceiving, until they found The Hebrew Free Loan.

Tarle and Oldenburg were able to take out a $15,000 loan to look for a donor egg, and Oldenburg was finally able to become pregnant. After her little boy, Noah, was born, she gave birth to a girl, Navah, thanks to another interest-free loan from The Hebrew Free Loan. Not only has The Hebrew Free Loan helped Tarle and Oldenburg, but they have also helped 75 other families struggling with fertility.

How Expensive are Fertility Treatments?

If you are struggling to conceive, undergoing a fertility treatment is an important decision to make if you want to have children. Fertility treatments are very expensive and they don’t always work, and you may have to do multiple rounds of whichever method of treatment you choose.

Undergoing fertility treatments can be expensive, but The Hebrew Free Loan is able to help with providing interest-free loans to help you start a family.

To put it into perspective, in vitro fertilization, or IVF can cost between $12,000 to $17,000 and the medication that you need to take after the procedure can cost up to $10,000. Donor eggs can also cost between $12,000 to $20,000 and artificial insemination can range anywhere from $500 to $4,000. No matter what fertility treatment you wish to use, they are expensive and can be hard to pay for, but with the help of The Hebrew Free Loan, they can help you afford fertility treatments to help you start your own family.
