Treating Fibroids Without Harming Fertility

September 4, 2017
Emma Holt

Women suffering from fibroids often worry about their future fertility being in jeopardy. However, a study suggests that a simple procedure may be able to treat fibroids without harming fertility.

Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) blocks blood flow to fibroids so they stop growing or shrink. Researchers explain that UFE may block blood flow to the uterus as well so the technique wasn't recommended.

In this research, infertility experts explain how this procedure works and how it may be a less invasive procedure compared to myomectomy. The study explains a new twist on the procedure that is now known as partial UFE.

This new study will enlighten you about your options with UFE and IVF and their positive outcomes.
